Child portraits in art history

Back in the day, I studied art history.  Now I create portraits of children and families.  You can probably understand my excitement after stumbling upon this blog:  http://iamachild.wordpress.com/

Some things never change:
"I'll give you this cookie if you'll sit still, cooperate, and look at the artist over there trying to do his job..."

Try as he might, the painter could not get all three siblings to look straight ahead, stop fidgeting, and give pleasant expressions.  To his relief, the mother loved the natural moment captured.

I always enjoy my sessions with these guys!  We had a great fall morning for our outdoor session, and everyone had a lot of fun.  Our goal was to  capture fun and sweet family images and that's what we got!
